Blanco Home Additions & ADU: The Long Beach Owner’s Guide

Blanco-compatible home additions and ADU construction in Long Beach typically runs $45,000-$130,000 for additions and $90,000-$220,000 for detached ADUs, with most projects quoted within 48 hours and permits pulled before ground breaks. We stock Blanco fixtures and coordinate directly with their distribution network for model-specific fittings, so delays on custom orders rarely stretch past a week even for their German-imported Silgranit lines. Most Long Beach owners realize something’s off when their addition’s wet bar or ADU kitchen starts showing water stains beneath the sink, or when the Blanco faucet they specified arrives in the wrong finish and the subcontractor installs it anyway.

Which Blanco Models This Applies To

We work with Blanco’s full residential catalog, but the most common specs in Long Beach additions and ADUs are the Precis, Quatrus, and Diamond Super Single undermount sinks in Silgranit PuraDur II, plus the Culina and Linus faucet lines in chrome or satin nickel. The gotcha is series-year compatibility: Blanco revised their basket strainer thread pitch in 2019, so a Precis sink from 2017 needs a different strainer assembly than one purchased in 2023. Check the laser-etched model number on the sink basin’s rear ledge, or the faucet’s cold-water supply line tag, before ordering any replacement part.

OEM Blanco parts ship from their Illinois warehouse in three to five business days. We also source quality equivalents from Rohl and KWC for faster turnaround when the homeowner isn’t married to the Blanco badge, and we’ll note the difference in writing before you decide. Rowan Construction Group Long Beach is an independent contractor, not affiliated with Blanco, so our recommendation is based on what fits your timeline and budget, not a brand quota.

Signs Your Blanco Home Additions & ADU Is Failing

Signs Your Blanco Home Additions & ADU Is Failing
  • Water pooling beneath the sink cabinet. The Blanco sink’s silicone seal has degraded, or the strainer basket’s locknut has loosened from thermal cycling. In Long Beach’s coastal humidity, silicone cures faster but also hardens and cracks sooner than inland.
  • Faucet base wobbles or rotates freely. The mounting hardware has corroded, common with Blanco’s earlier brass locknut designs exposed to salt air. The fix is a new mounting kit, not a whole faucet.
  • Low or erratic water pressure at the Blanco faucet only. The aerator is clogged with mineral scale from Long Beach’s moderately hard municipal water, or the pull-down hose’s check valve is sticking.
  • Silgranit surface has hairline cracks or discoloration. Thermal shock from pouring boiling water directly into a cold basin, or using abrasive cleaners that void Blanco’s warranty. Replacement is the only remedy.
  • Garbage disposal vibrates excessively against the Blanco sink. The sink’s composite material dampens sound differently than stainless steel; the disposal mounting bracket may need a Blanco-specific vibration pad that wasn’t included in the original install.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Component Parts + Labor Range
Blanco sink replacement (Silgranit undermount) $800-$2,400
Faucet swap (Blanco or equivalent) $350-$950
Basket strainer / disposal flange kit $180-$420
Full wet bar rough-in with Blanco fixtures $2,800-$6,500

What moves the number: access (is the sink in a standard cabinet or a custom concrete vanity?), whether we’re matching existing countertops without removal, and if the original plumber used proprietary Blanco hardware or generic adapters. Under Clause 1 of the Haven Standard, you get the written price before anyone touches a tool, and no change proceeds without a signed change order. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers our installation workmanship; Blanco’s own warranty covers manufacturing defects on their product.

What you can safely check: tighten the faucet mounting nuts from below with a basin wrench, clean the aerator with vinegar, or verify the disposal’s three-bolt mount isn’t loose. These take ten minutes and a flashlight.

Where DIY goes wrong: Silgranit sinks weigh 25-40 pounds and require two-person handling; dropping one cracks the composite and voids the warranty. Faucet supply lines in new additions often have PEX stub-outs with proprietary Blanco adapters that shear off if torqued wrong. And any work that disturbs the trap or disposal connection risks a cross-threaded fitting that leaks slowly into the cabinet subfloor, discovered months later when the baseboard swells. We’ve replaced three such cabinets in Long Beach ADUs in the past two years.

Measure twice, write it down, then build it. If you’re unsure which Blanco series you have, call (424) 567-7009 and we’ll walk you through the ID over the phone, or schedule a free estimate to sort it in person.
