For drawer systems, Atlas used Blum Tandem slides under private label through 2019, so the part number often reads Atlas but the slide body carries Blum markings. Post-2019 Atlas switched to a Chinese OEM with a slightly different side-mount hole pattern, 12.7mm versus Blum’s 13mm, which matters if you are retrofitting without replacing the cabinet box. Signs Your Atlas Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

• Doors hang uneven or won’t stay closed. The 35mm cup hinge has a nylon bushing that wears flat after roughly 8-12 years of daily use in Long Beach’s coastal humidity. Once the bushing loses its grip, the door drops on the hinge side and the magnetic catch can no longer pull it flush.
• Drawers grind, stick, or require a tug to open. The crack starts at the hub spline and propagates until the tray tilts and jams against the cabinet wall.

DIY or Call Us?

An owner can safely check the model sticker location and measure the hinge cup diameter with a tape measure, and you can test whether a drawer slide is merely dirty versus genuinely failed by removing the drawer and running the slide by hand. Where DIY goes wrong is in assuming Atlas hardware is generic European standard, drilling new holes when the original pattern would have worked, or forcing a corroded slide that then tears the drawer box mounting screws out of the particle board substrate.
