Signs Your PGT Fence Installation Is Failing

• Gate drags or won’t latch. The PGT gate frame is built with a welded aluminum rectangle on Sierra models or a reinforced vinyl box on Sequoia. • Corrosion at base of aluminum posts. Sierra aluminum is powder-coated, but if the coating was nicked during install and the post sits in damp soil, galvanic corrosion starts at the scratch. We see this most on properties near the port where salt spray settles overnight. The fix is a sleeve replacement with proper drainage, not just a surface touch-up.
